Youth Leadership Institute (YLI) has been at the forefront of the youth development field for over 20 years — teaching communities to invest in developing youth, and training youth to inspire their communities by being advocates for change.

Building capacity and systems for marketing and fundraising

Platzner | brand storytellers was engaged by management to start up a marketing and development department that included several marketing programs.

Working closely with the CEO and agency directors, we developed a strategic marketing framework to build up internal marketing capacity which included a youth-built website and identity kit, a public relations campaign with media training, and the recruitment of the agency’s first marketing director.

By leveraging existing assets and contributions from the community, YLI was able to rapidly deploy and absorb these new programs in just six months time.
